Hello!
My name is Erin, and I am the owner of Erin Nicole Art! I started my art business back in 2022 by randomly deciding to participate in my colleges student art market! I was accepted into the event two weeks before the day and had absolutely NOTHING prepared. So I panic ordered about 50 prints from Vista Print, went to my parents house and grabbed a ton of random old art from high school and dug out my projects from my throwing one class and hoped for the best.
I had such a sad small set up compared to the other students vending but I will still so excited to sell my art for the first time. It was a 5 hour market, and I ended up going home on hour 3 because I had completely sold out. I was absolutely shocked and SO stoked.
After this I started doing small vending opportunities around my college town on weekends and slowly started to grow.
I have been an artist since a young age. I started playing sports when I was little because my dad loved it, but I did not. I would always throw a fit and beg to not go to my games every week. After a certain point I stopped and started playing around with other childhood hobbies. I picked up art and just never stopped. I took classes outside of school and decided it would be my entire life.
As time went on I had some moments of doubt, but ended up going to college for art! I started out as an Interior Design major my freshman year. I then switched to Art Education and then to a Ceramics major! I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Ceramics in May of 2025 and I am so excited to continue my art and ceramics practice.
I unfortunately a few years ago started developing some weird health issues and last year I was diagnosed with POTS, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, and it has affected my ability to live my life the way I used too. I have become almost entirely home bound and finishing college was a real struggle. My dream for the longest time was to be an art teacher, but due to my health I would not be able to pursue that. I feel like everything happens for a reason, and me becoming home bound happened so that I would give myself the push to be a full time artist.
This is my official new starting point in my art journey. I sold my car a few months ago and that money is my how I am surviving without a traditional job and also my personal art investment money. My goal is to stretch this money to last me a year while I see what I can do to help make myself a full time artist!
